Why?
Why are you an Anglican? Is it just habit, or laziness, or is there anything in the denomination that is positively good and worth holding onto?
Why do you use the name Evangelical? Who needs labels, and isn't that one so often misunderstood that it becomes misleading?
Why do you follow that pattern of life, and belong to EFCW? Is it something good enough to suggest to other people?
EFCW wishes to tackle the "3 Whys Men" (with apologies for
the pun!) with some positive suggestions and three sessions for group
discussion in Parishes of all shades and traditions. The notes and questions
here are in "trial" format - We hope some EFCW members will
use them on a trial basis and send us feedback to iron out any practical
problems!. The three sections might make three group sessions, and it
might be helpful to copy the notes and questions and hand them to group
members.
The course might even adapt for personal use, or for a series of sermons
or articles in a Parish magazine. Our hope is that this material will
be a gift of value to the church at large, helping us all to understand
where we are coming from.
