For some twenty-five years EFCW
camps have been a central part of the Fellowship's work. 'A' and 'B' camps
were originally envisaged to provide varying types of Christian Holidays
for 11-14 years olds. 'C' Camp came along some 10 years ago in response
to a camp population that had grown beyond 14.
Many campers in that time came back as
leaders, having valued both their time at camps and the ongoing fellowship.
In 2008, EFCW is taking a different route,
and recommending some Welsh linked holidays run by others:
for under 18s:
Among its wide range of holidays for young people this year, Scripture
Union is providing 2 residential
holidays in south Wales:
Hebron at Dinas Powys 20th - 26th July for ages 12-16, and
Llan-M at Llanmadoc, 26th July - 2nd August for ages 12-15.
There is also
On Your Bike
, a cycling holiday in Wales, 26th - 30th
July for ages 15-18, and
Curtains Up!
in England, a creative arts holiday run by a team which has close links
with St Mark's Gabalfa, Cardiff, 6th - 14th August for ages 13-17.
