THE AIMS FOR 2000-2005

1 Promoting fellowship amongst members through:

  • diocesan group meetings
  • retreats, especially for lay people
  • identifying groups at conferences
  • support for lay/clergy residential and day conferences

2 Encouragement and strengthening of evangelical parishes in Wales by:

  • making every effort to safeguard the future of evangelical parishes when clergy move on
  • prayer support
  • establishment of an evangelical 'clearing house'.
  • encouraging local clergy to develop liturgical flexibility/experimentation, and lay ministry, to make coming to Wales an attractive proposition for evangelical clergy elsewhere
  • offering a lay pastoral assistants' course package devised and run by EFCW

3 To support and encourage ministry of lay people in the church

4 To encourage active and positive involvement in the structures of the Church in Wales at all levels

5 To promote study and use of the Bible by demonstrating its relevance and application today

6 To facilitate and promote evangelism through the Church in Wales

7 To develop ministry among children and young people which is relevant to youth culture
